I stumbled across yoga by complete accident 10 years ago whilst training for the London Marathon. Injury had forced me to rethink my training programme and I immediately connected with the practice on a very deep and personal level.
It was love at first sight and yoga became an essential part of my life – and is was not for purely the physical benefits of a regular yoga practice. I was also beginning to realise that yoga is so much more than rolling out your mat, my mental health was also beginning to experience the many benefits that yoga can bring.
I practiced regularly with several teachers, exploring different styles of yoga, and eventually decided to complete my 500 hour yoga teacher training with the Devon School of Yoga studying anatomy, philosophy, holistic yoga and kriyas.
Since launching dartmoor yoga in 2017 I have had the pleasure of teaching many different people, from a wide variety of backgrounds and ages.
I continue to learn and study with different yoga teachers -and have recently studied somatic movement.
Yoga really is for every body …
